How’s 2017 shaping up for you so far then, three days in? Life about the same as it was a month ago, but with more plastic crap around your house? Yep, same here. Which is why I thought I’d start off the New Year with a nice treat.
The lovely people over at Cheeky Little Monkeys contacted me a couple of weeks ago, to tell me about their new range of limited edition clothing made from sustainable, organic materials. They asked if Mouse would like to try a couple of t-shirts, which I snapped up because frankly, we’ve been caught out by the old mid-season “shit, nothing fits” calamity.
The shirts are gorgeous – they’re super soft and you can tell by touch that the cotton is good quality. They’re durable and keep their shape and colour well after washing, and god knows we do a lot of that in this house! What I love is that each design run is limited edition, with only 500 of each illustration being printed before the next one is launched.
I chose two t-shirts for Mouse, one in pink and the other in a sort of blue / grey marl, with a natty monkey motif on the front and a little text logo at the top of the neck at the back. My photography skills are notoriously pants, but the pink is a raspberry shade rather than anything too sickly sweet or girly.
The grey looks pretty snazz when teamed with a pair of skinny jeans and junior Converse – you know, if you’re already given over to the fact that your child is trendier than you.
Because they’re so nice, Cheeky Little Monkeys have pledged to donate 10% from the sale of every product to charity. Currently they’re supporting Rays of Sunshine which is a wish-granting charity for children living with a life-limiting or serious illness. Each shirt is priced at £13.95 so for each print run of 500, £700 will go directly to a good cause. What’s not to love?
So! The guys have very kindly offered a t-shirt for one of my readers to win. You can choose from the designs shown here, in sizes 3-4 years, 5-6 years or 7-8 years. Would you like to win? Click on the link below before 23:59 on 10th January 2017 to enter. Good luck!
